SEARCH UK

Search UK is a voluntary missing persons organisation which aims to provide three main functions Education, Immediate Action advice to be used only in the immediate aftermath of a person going missing and Registration of a missing person with Search UK for investigation.

EDUCATION
The first of these functions is to educate men, women, children and parents on personal safety issues. This encompasses many aspects of a persons life travel, internet safety, stranger danger, date rape drugs and many more issues. To access this information press the box titles education and prevention in the column at the left hand side of the screen

IMMEDIATE ACTION
The next function of Search UK is to give quick practical help and advise on procedures to follow in the immediate aftermath on discovering a person has gone missing. This encompasses search techniques, official bodies and other people/organisations to contact, places to search and practical advise on poster searches.
This section is divided in to three main types of missing person and to gain access to this advise first you must chose the category of missing person which is relevant to you a definition of the categories is shown below and select the relevant column at the left hand side of the screen

MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCES
This category is dedicated to both adults and children who have disappeared in mysterious or unknown circumstances

PARENTAL ABDUCTIONS
It is here that we focus on children who are known to have been abducted by either mother, father, step parents or the natural parents partners

RUNAWAYS
This section is for both adults and children who are believed to have runaway of their own free will.

REGISTERING A MISSING PERSONS CASE
You can if you wish register a missing persons case by filling in the relevant forms under the new Intake registration form box at the left hand side of the screen . This section is once again divided into three main categorise, Runaways, Parental Abductions and Mysterious Disappearances to see which category is relevant to you please read the definition of these types of missing persons above.

Please note that Search UK is not a government or police agency and should never be used as a substitute for the police. In all missing persons cases it is advised that you first contact the police and file a missing persons report, listen to the police advice given and act accordingly.
